Joe Burrow’s 2024 season was curtailed by a wrist injury. The Bengals star quarterback used his free time recovering to try something new – he started to learn the piano. He started using YouTube tutorials, teaching himself how to play. The movement also helped with his recovery from injury.

Joe Burrow has an unfortunate history with injuries. His rookie year was cut short after a knee injury but determined as ever, he came back as good as new. Speaking to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, Burrow revealed how his injury history has changed the way he thinks. He now wants to keep playing football until his body gives out on him. Burrow said:

“I used to think I didn’t want to play very long. And now I’m like, ‘I’m just going to go until I can’t do it anymore.’ This is fun to do. What the hell else would I do?’ I used to want to go and maybe play a different sport after a couple of Super Bowls, but now I’m like, I’m just going to play until I can’t.” [via SI]

Joe Burrow is focused on a Super Bowl

The mindset around the Bengals is clear heading into the new season – it’s now or never. Or at least, that’s the mindset Joe Burrow is trying to manifest in the team around him. Burrow told NFL on CBS:

“I’m just trying to bring a different mentality to my game and to my preparation. And I try to treat every day like it’s now or never. Trying to treat every day like it’s my last and try to go make it happen.”

With a much improved defense after the addition of Dexter Lawrence, and Burrow, Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase leading the offense, the Bengals are quietly confident heading into the new season.
