The injuries are piling up for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. Running back Josh Jacobs is the latest shaken up.

Jacobs appeared to suffer a knock early in the fourth quarter. The Packers posted an update to the team’s official Twitter account shortly after.

“Packers injury update: RB Josh Jacobs (knee) is questionable to return,” the update read. Jacobs had been having a quality game.

The former Alabama running back had already logged 17 carries for 70 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, helping Green Bay build an early lead against the Dallas Cowboys. He was averaging 4.1 yards per carry.

The NBC broadcast crew provided a brief update on the broadcast. And as they were in the middle of their report, Josh Jacobs checked back into the game.

“Yeah, you were talking about Josh Jacobs and after that touchdown the athletic training staff working on his right knee,” sideline reporter Melissa Stark said. “He went into the locker room and the team said they were treating a cut below that knee. He’s back in the game.”

Micah Parsons also briefly exits game

Josh Jacobs wasn’t the only Green Bay player to exit Sunday night’s game and then later return. Star pass-rusher Micah Parsons also missed a series or so in the third quarter due to an injury issue.

The injury occurred late in the third quarter, just prior to Dallas driving down the field for a go-ahead touchdown. The NBC broadcast crew provided a brief update on the situation. Sideline reporter Melissa Stark chimed in with the news.

“Yeah, Mike (Tirico), before this drive a member of the athletic training staff came over and had a conversation with Micah Parsons,” Stark said. “We saw him come over holding his low back. And then he just went into the medical tent. Was not happy about it. And the independent concussion specialist just came out of the tent, and we’ll continue to monitor the situation.”

Parsons would return to the field for Green Bay on its ensuing defensive drive. At the time of this writing, Dallas led 30-27 with about two and a half minutes remaining in the game.
