Kenny Clark and the Dallas Cowboys got back on track in Week 7, jumping to 3-3-1 on the 2025 NFL season after a 44-22 win over Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. Clark has been a key part of the Cowboys' defense, but didn't show up on the stat sheet against the NFC East rival.
The Cowboys gave up arguably their best player in Micah Parsons right before the season began, receiving Clark and a couple of first-round picks in return. But without Parsons, Dallas' defense had become among the worst in the NFL, allowing a league-leading 411.7 yards per game. Still, Clark has been a nice addition for Brian Schottenheimer, recording six tackles and 1.5 sacks.
Clark helped lead the Cowboys to one of their strongest defensive performances of the season, even while allowing 341 yards to the Commanders. A DaRon Bland pick-six certainly helped, and cornerback Shemar James forced a fumble on a sack that newcomer Jadeveon Clowney recovered. Washington was eventually forced to rule Daniels out late in the game with a hamstring injury, but the Cowboys also faced an injury scare of their own.
With two minutes and 35 seconds remaining in the third and the Cowboys holding a comfortable lead, Clark went down and was tended to by the medical staff, forcing Dallas to list him as questionable. Fortunately for Dallas, Clark returned shortly after his injury scare, helping the Cowboys seal the deal with Marcus Mariota filling in for Daniels.
"Good sign: DT Kenny Clark is back on the field for the #Cowboys defense on this drive," Cowboys staff writer Tommy Yarrish wrote on X.

The Cowboys will likely keep an eye on Clark's elbow injury, especially since he is expected to be Parsons' replacement. Up next for Dallas, a Week 8 matchup with Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos, who just defeated the New York Giants.
