The Detroit Lions have their best start (10-1) since their first season in 1934, as they easily defeated the Indianapolis Colts (5-7) at Lucas Oil Stadium 24-6 on Sunday.

The Lions also remain undefeated on the road (6-0) and have now won nine consecutive games, as their only loss came in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field.

Detroit suffocated Indianapolis' passing offense, as quarterback Anthony Richardson only completed 11-for-28 passes for 172 yards. Richardson was also responsible for 61 of the Colts' 96 rushing yards as Jonathan Taylor was held to 11 carries for 35 yards.

Detroit dealt with some injuries this week, as Kalif Raymond was forced out of the game in the second half with a foot injury, David Montgomery suffered a shoulder injury and didn't return, and cornerback Carlton Davis III suffered a knee injury towards the end of the game.

Despite that, the Lions did enough to convincingly win on the road, as Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for two touchdowns and Montgomery added another in the victory.

Jared Goff completed 26-for-36 passes for 269 yards, putting on another effective start under center. Gibbs finished with 21 carries for 90 yards on the day, adding three catches for nine yards as well.

Jameson Williams had five catches for 64 yards and Amon-Ra St. Brown had six catches for 62 yards in the effort.

Detroit forced Indianapolis to punt six times in the game and both teams combined to punt 10 times. No turnovers were committed throughout the game.

The Lions will next prepare on a short week as they play on Thanksgiving Day against the Chicago Bears at Ford Field at 11:30 a.m. CT.
