The Detroit Lions defeated the Tanpa Bay Buccaneers on "Monday Night Football," 24-9.
Both teams moved to 5-2 after the Monday night game, and the Lins responded after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday, 30-17.
Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs led the way with a massive game for the team.
Gibbs ran for 136 yards with two touchdowns on 17 carries, and he added three catches for 82 yards in a strong outing.
The 2023 No. 12 overall pick passed the 100-yard mark for the first time this season, and the 82 receiving yards also set a season high for the former Alabama Crimson Tide star.
During the game, the Lions posted a piece of history that Gibbs set on Monday night.
"Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs is the 10th player in @NFL history to produce a game with at least 135 rushing yards, 80 receiving yards and two rushing TDs. The last player to do so was Chris Johnson in 2009. Gibbs reached those totals with 4:39 left in the third quarter."

Entering the game, the Lions star running back had just 390 yards on the season with four touchdowns, and this was the first time he crossed the end zone since September 28 against the Cleveland Browns.
The Lions have a bye in Week 8 before facing the Minnesota Vikings.
