Lions Pro Bowl WR sports fantastic Notre Dame attire after losing 'agreement' with teammate

USC's loss to Notre Dame last Saturday was a costly one for Detroit Lions star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

The 18th-ranked Trojans fell to the 21st-ranked Fighting Irish 48-20 on the road Saturday, giving USC their first defeat of the season after six straight wins. Notre Dame is now 6-2.

St. Brown spent three years with the Trojans from 2018-2020 before being selected by Detroit in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Linebacker Julian Okwara played four seasons with the Fighting Irish from 2016-19 and was picked by the Lions in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The 2022 Pro Bowl wideout was careful to call the situation with his teammate an "agreement" rather than a "bet," and said twice that the agreement was made "outside the facility."

St. Brown was almost certainly hinting at Detroit's well-chronicled issues with gambling suspensions this year.

Fellow wide receiver Jameson Williams was handed a six-game suspension over the offseason for violating the NFL's gambling policy. The punishment was later lifted after four games.

Williams was joined by three teammates to be suspended in April, two of whom ended up being immediately released and one who was waived in May.

While St. Brown took a loss by having to wear the silly costume in the locker room, he's had another big season thus far. Despite missing one game due to injury, the 23-year-old leads the Lions in targets (50), receptions (38) and receiving yards (455) and is tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns (three).
