Jahmyr Gibbs is in his third season with the Detroit Lions after being selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Alabama. The 23-year-old running back has continued to establish himself as one of the league’s most dynamic players. Known for his elite speed and versatility, Gibbs is one of the most explosive playmakers in the NFL, capable of impacting the game as both a ball carrier and receiver.
He has appeared in all seven games this season for Detroit, rushing 104 times for 526 yards at 5.1 yards per attempt. He has also caught 26 passes for 194 yards and scored seven total touchdowns, six rushing and one receiving.
As Gibbs and the Lions prepare for Sunday’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, the third-year running back took to Instagram to share some personal news. Gibbs announced the launch of his new clothing company and revealed the release of his first official shirt.
“My first tee is live!” he wrote, linking to the website (shopjah.com).
The debut tee is a black long-sleeve available in sizes small through 2XL. The site also features a collaborative design with Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, inspired by a superhero-themed celebration the two shared on the field. Both shirts are currently available for pre-order. “All pre orders will ship out 2–3 weeks from when your order was placed. Thanks for your support and patience!” the website reads.
Gibbs has surpassed all expectations in his third season with the Lions. He remains under team control for one more year before a club option, after which Detroit will have the opportunity to extend him. Gibbs currently ranks ninth in the NFL in rushing yards and continues to be one of the most important pieces of Detroit’s offense, which ranks third in the league in scoring at 30.7 points per game.
The Lions hold a 5–2 record and sit second in the NFC North. Despite last season’s disappointing finish, when they were eliminated by the Washington Commanders after earning a first-round bye, Detroit still looks like a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
