Lions wide receiver coach believes Jackson Meeks' time is coming

One of the biggest bright spots from the Detroit Lions' preseason slate was the performance of rookie wide receiver Jackson Meeks. The undrafted wide receiver, who played college football for Georgia for three seasons and with Syracuse for one, has a bright future in the NFL. This preseason with the Lions, Meeks was one of the most impressive players, recording 11 receptions for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Despite his impactful performance in the preseason, Meeks was just short of making the Lions' final 53-man roster for the 2025 season, but still has a spot on Detroit's practice squad. Meeks is still a player that the Lions are hoping will continue to develop on the practice squad and could very well eventually find his way moving up the depth chart.
