Micah Parsons takes a page out of Quentin Tarantino's playbook with a direct warning to Dallas Cowboys and NFL fans

Micah Parsons spends his time on the playing field trying to sack quarterbacks and avoid stiff arms from ballcarriers. But if treated the wrong way, he might pull out a stiff arm himself versus Dallas Cowboys and NFL fans.

At least, that's what his latest message on social media suggests in a joking way. Parsons probably had an awkward fan encounter on Thursday right before taking to Twitter/X to warn fans trying to get a picture with him.

"New rule if someone doesn’t ask how I’m doing before they ask for a picture or put they phone in my face ima say no lol!," Parsons wrote in a post.

Listen, I'm not going to blame him for that. Dealing with paparazzi has to be hard enough for superstars like Parsons. Now imagine having fans doing the same thing. People can forget manners are needed when approaching these guys. Being super famous doesn't mean they're not people!

I found Parsons' post amusing because it reminded me of famous movie director Quentin Tarantino, who once said he doesn't agree to pictures with fans though he will be happy to engage in an active conversation. That's stuck with me in the odd-chance I get to meet him as he happens to be my favorite director.

"Yeah, don't ask for a photo, I'm not gonna give you a photo, all right?," Tarantino said during a 2019 interview with CinemaBlend. "Not only am I not gonna give you a photo—it's going to vaguely tarnish the encounter if you ask for a photo. But just coming up and saying, 'I like your movies,' and wanting to shake my hand—then I'll get your name and everything. And if you don't ask for a photo, I mean, depending on what the situation is, I might even engage you a little bit longer. You ask for a photo, a glass wall comes up. I try to say no in a nice way and everything, but I ain't giving you a photo."

"It rubs me the wrong way because it means, like, I don't think you even really want to meet me—you just want this, a piece of me," Tarantino added.

Truthfully, that's great advice for anyone who runs into a famous person they admire. But if you don't want to rule out the chance of getting a picture with Parsons, definitely try to chat him up a little bit before taking out the phone.

Honestly, that sounds like a much better experience for all parties.
