Move over, Patrick Mahomes. Move over, LeBron James.
America has a new sports hero, and he isn’t playing under stadium lights. He’s strapped into a race car.
Kyle Larson is the true American hero.
While the rest of the sports world was doing what it normally does Saturday night, Larson was doing something completely insane. He started 30th at Richmond, wrestled a car that had no business anywhere near the front into sixth, then immediately began a cross-country mission to Iowa.
Why?
Because he loves racing.
Larson didn’t make excuses. He didn’t say he was tired. He didn’t decide 400 Cup laps were enough.
He got on a plane, made his way to Knoxville and climbed into a sprint car for the biggest dirt race of the year.
Then he led every lap.
That’s Kyle Larson: two NASCAR Cup championships, more than 30 Cup wins, multiple Knoxville Nationals victories and a three-time Chili Bowl champion. He has repeatedly proven he can win in virtually anything with four wheels.
This week alone, he has been an absolute machine on dirt, piling up victories against some of the country’s best sprint-car talent.
Mahomes has rings.
LeBron has championships.
Larson has something different: the willingness to race anything, anywhere, anytime.
He isn’t just winning races.
He’s keeping the spirit of motorsports alive.
America’s true hero is Yung Money.
Lead Lap Racing tells it like it is. We appreciate greatness. We had boots on the ground all weekend. And now? We acknowledge it.
