NFL Announces Puka Nacua News Before Game Against Eagles

There's no denying Puka Nacua has been a big part of the Los Angeles Rams' offense to begin the 2025 season.

The Rams got off to a 2-0 start, beating the Houston Texans 14-9 in Week 1 before defeating the Tennessee Titans 33-19 in Week 2. Through those two games, Nacua recorded 18 receptions for 221 yards. While he has yet to score a receiving touchdown, the wideout tallied one score on the ground; he has two carries for 46 yards for the season.

With his performance so far, Nacua made history in the process. According to the NFL as it teased the Rams' Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, the 24-year-old wide receiver is only the second player since 1970 to have at least 200 receptions in his first 30 career games. Odell Beckham Jr. is the only other player to do it in the past 55 years.

Nacua played the 30th game of his career in Week 2, and his eight receptions against the Titans brought his reception number to 202.

The NFL called it a "historic start in his NFL career" for Nacua, as he continues to make a massive impact on the Rams.

Fans were quick to heap praise on Nacua as well, with one even stating that he's a "Top 5 WR."

"That’s my WR. The best in the league and if you disagree go argue with yo mama!" a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Pukas talent can’t be taught, bro was born gifted and I’m a hawks fan."

"Hes my favorite WR outside of my team," a supporter added.

A social media user remarked, "That is our GUY."

"Best in the league," a sixth poster declared.

Nacua played in only 11 games last season but still led the Rams with 79 receptions and 990 yards. He was third on the team in receiving touchdowns with three. Now that veteran receiver Cooper Kupp is gone, however, it's not surprising that the third-year wideout has a more prominent role with the team.

That being said, it will definitely be interesting to see if Nacua can extend his hot start with the Rams. L.A. plays the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday. The game begins at 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
