Christmas Day is packed with football as Week 17 arrives during the holiday. Fans are excited as two of these games matter for playoff positioning and all three stream nationally. The matchups feature the Dallas Cowboys take on the Washington Commanders in the afternoon, followed by the Detroit Lions at the Minnesota Vikings, and the Denver Broncos will be seeing the Kansas City Chiefs in the evening.

Denver has already clinched a playoff berth and are still fighting for a top seed. Detroit remains alive but needs to win out and get help from the Green Bay Packers' opponents. Dallas, Washington, Minnesota and Kansas City have been eliminated.

Chiefs' problems were compounded by Patrick Mahomes’ season-ending torn ACL, which changed expectations and left the franchise searching for answers. Rumors have swirled about legendary tight end Travis Kelce’s future as his contract approaches its end; nothing’s official, but the chatter adds intrigue for fans.
