Josh Jacobs scored the lone touchdown of the evening for the Green Bay Packers as they suffered a disappointing 10-7 home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on "Monday Night Football." Jacobs was a bright spot for Green Bay, with the All-Pro running back registering 21 carries for a game-high 74 rushing yards and one touchdown.
It wasn’t enough, though, as the Packers fell to the defending champions in a hard-fought battle. This was Green Bay’s second straight home loss at Lambeau Field after they suffered defeat at the hands of the Carolina Panthers in Week 9, 16-13. The Packers have now fallen to 5-3-1 after their loss to Philadelphia.
Jacobs is currently in his seventh season in the NFL and his second with Green Bay. In nine games played this season, the three-time Pro Bowler has registered 162 carries for 608 yards and 11 rushing TDs. The former Las Vegas Raiders star also has 28 catches for 327 receiving yards. Jacobs has scored a touchdown in all but one of the Packers’ nine games this season.
Jacobs kept his foot on the gas against the Eagles. The 27-year-old has a knack for performing well during primetime games, and this was the case yet again on Monday night. The NFL took to social media to announce Jacobs’ latest historic feat after his performance against Philly.
"Josh Jacobs has scored a rushing TD in his last 8 primetime games, breaking a tie with HOF Terrell Davis and HOF Emmitt Smith for the most consecutive primetime games with a rushing TD in NFL history," NFL+, the league’s official streaming service, posted on X.

Terrell Davis and Emmitt Smith are two legendary RBs who have impacted the sport tremendously. For Jacobs to be mentioned in the same breath as these two icons speaks volumes about the Packers star’s own legacy.
Jacobs will want to keep it going in his next game as he looks to help lead the Packers back to winning ways. Up next for Green Bay is a matchup against the 2-8 New York Giants in Week 11. It will be a road game for Jacobs and Co. as they head to MetLife Stadium for Sunday’s contest. Kickoff for that one is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
