The Dallas Cowboys will be hoping to bring some more reinforcements for their defense and have the potential to pick Will Johnson, a cornerback for the Michigan Wolverines, for this very reason. On Monday, The Athletic’s Nick Baumgardner showed off his mock draft in which he had the Cowboys picking Johnson as a pairing for Trevon Diggs.

Will Johnson played for the Michigan Wolverines from 2022 to 2024 and has created quite a name for himself as a defensive player. In his latest season for Michigan, Johnson managed a total of 12 solo tackles and two interceptions. Meanwhile, Dallas’s cornerback, Trevor Diggs, put up 35 solo tackles with two interceptions in the 2024 NFL season.

“It’s not nothing that Johnson has avoided athletic testing at all costs this offseason. … But the tape doesn’t lie — Johnson’s confidence is off-the-charts good, as is his football IQ. He definitely could tumble, but he’s a worthy top-15 prospect.” Nick Baumgardner wrote about the Dallas Cowboys and Will Johnson in his mock draft.

The Dallas Cowboys are hoping for a much better season this time after finishing third in the NFC East with seven wins in the 2024 NFL season. The Cowboys played their very last game of the season against the Washington Commanders and lost 23-19.

While Dallas will be doing a great thing for the team by bringing in a talented cornerback like Will Johnson, they also need to secure a better offense, considering that this weak part of theirs was the main reason as to why they flunked in the 2024 NFL season.

Dallas Cowboys Might Go Bring In Tyler Warren As Per Mock Draft

ESPN’s Matt Miller created his version of the NFL draft and an interesting thing to note was Tyler Warren of Penn State going to the Dallas Cowboys. If Warren does indeed join the team, he will not be the only Penn State alumnus on whom Dallas will have placed plenty of responsibility. In the 2021 NFL draft, Dallas chose Micah Parsons, who has turned out to be a huge blessing for the team.

Tyler Warren played for the Penn State Nittany Lions from 2020 to 2024, and has managed an impressive 104 receptions for 1,233 yards, scoring eight touchdowns. Warren potentially joining the Dallas Cowboys will be immensely useful for the team to improve their record in the upcoming NFL season. Still, it will take time for Jerry Jones to make up his mind, as is the case usually with the Dallas Cowboys.
