NFL Week 17 Best Teaser: Will Bengals deliver on MNF?

Last week's teaser was never in doubt, and we've officially won a season-best five straight teasers and eight of our last 10. We don't mean to come off as braggadocious, but that's pretty darn good. And the confidence level in this week's teaser is as high as any teaser we've had all season.

Arizona and Atlanta have been just awful offensively the last four weeks, so we're going to take the under in this one. The over/under line is set at 42 points, but with the teaser, it's all the way up to 48. And considering both teams are on their second-string quarterbacks and haven't scored more 24 points in a game in over a month, the under looks like a guarantee.

The Desmond Ridder era officially began two weeks ago, and unfortunately for Falcons fans, the rookie quarterback has yet to bring a spark to the Atlanta offense. Atlanta hasn't scored more than 18 points since Ridder took over center, and even worse, the Falcons haven't scored more than 21 points in a game in four straight weeks. Meanwhile Atlanta's defense hasn't allowed more than 19 points in a game for four straight weeks, and are 6-1 against the under in its last seven games.

The Cardinals do get Colt McCoy back for Sunday's game, but don't expect much from the Arizona offense. McCoy has started multiple games this season for Arizona, and the offense hasn't done much with the veteran under center. Arizona hasn't scored more than 24 points in a game over the last month, and surprisingly, the Cardinals' defense has played OK during the team's five-game losing streak. Arizona hasn't allowed more than 27 points in a game in its last three games, and held Tampa Bay to just 19 points last week.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury has been on the hot seat for a while now, and with just two weeks to go in the regular season, don't expect Arizona to flip the switch in Week 17. The Cardinals' offense has mightily underachieved, and another disappointing performance is likely on the horizon.

So, assuming the under hits on Sunday between Arizona and Atlanta, don't be reluctant to take the Bengals on the spread just because you're going to wait till the next day to see if your teaser hits. Cincinnati is the best team in the NFL against the spread, and have covered the spread in 20 of its last 23 games.

Monday night's game between the Bengals and Bills may very well decide who's the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and that's why we're expecting a close game. And with the teaser giving the Bengals seven points on the spread, only a fool would say no. Cincinnati has won seven straight games, and are more than capable of beating Buffalo on Monday night.

Joe Burrow is arguably playing the best football of his career, and even though Josh Allen and the Bills can lock up the No. 1 seed with a road win on Monday night, Buffalo turned the ball over three times last week against a poor Chicago defense. No doubt Allen and the Bills are more than capable of winning this game too, but don't expect it to be by more than seven points. This could be a close cover, but going against Cincinnati simply isn't worth it.
