Jacobs was arrested following a disturbance on May 23 in which Hobart-Lawrence Police Department officers were reportedly dispatched to.

Police say the investigation is active and ongoing, but Jacobs is currently facing the following five charges: charges of battery — domestic abuse, criminal damage to property — domestic abuse, disorderly conduct — domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim.
David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, Jacobs’ attorneys, released a statement shortly after the initial press release.
“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public,” the statement read. “We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.”
Jacobs started his career with the Las Vegas Raiders, playing there for five seasons before signing a four-year deal with the Packers.
Both the team and the NFL released statements acknowledging the situation, but offered no further comments.
