Patrick Mahomes Update Emerges After Kansas City Chiefs Game

Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to an impressive 33-30 overtime win against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The three-time Super Bowl champion turned in another strong performance in his second game back from a major knee injury.

Mahomes was impressive against the Colts, completing 32-of-47 passes for 382 yards and three touchdowns. He also had two carries for an additional 17 rushing yards.

Mahomes’ first score of the evening was a touchdown pass to Travis Kelce. The 11-time Pro Bowl tight end scored his first touchdown of the 2026 NFL season, finishing with nine catches for a game-high 101 receiving yards.

Despite trailing the game multiple times, Kansas City fought back and showed its resilience. They ultimately secured their second win of the season in overtime.

Mahomes solidified his stature as one of the best quarterbacks in history. The Chiefs star extended two of his own records on Sunday. Including the playoffs, he has the most game-winning drives in the fourth quarter and overtime since 2018 (31). Mahomes also owns the best undefeated overtime record by a starting QB (8-0).
