Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has had a whirlwind year both on and off the field. Just as he continues to build on his breakout NFL career, he also has entered a new chapter in his personal life. The 24-year-old recently welcomed a baby boy with Hallie Aiono, closing a complicated and emotional few months that began with a legal filing over paternity earlier this summer.
In late October, Hallie shared a post on Instagram announcing the birth of their son, Kingston. The photos showed her and Puka together in the hospital, smiling as they held their newborn. Her caption read, “There has never been a doubt of who you are and what you mean to us.” Puka commented on the post, “Proud of you Hal! Welcome King ❤️,” showing clear support for both mother and child.
The story began back in June when Aiono, then 19 weeks pregnant, filed a petition in Los Angeles County seeking to confirm the child’s paternity. The filing requested joint legal custody and full physical custody, with visitation rights for Nacua. According to court documents, Nacua responded to the petition acknowledging the possibility he was the father, while also requesting genetic testing to confirm it.
The case created plenty of public attention over the summer, as fans watched the young wide receiver navigate headlines that had little to do with football. Through it all, neither Nacua nor Aiono made any public statements beyond what appeared in official filings or on social media.
By the time the baby was born, though, the tone had clearly changed. The hospital photos and messages of support suggested that both parents had put their differences aside to focus on their son.
For Nacua, this life change comes as he continues his rise as one of the NFL’s brightest young players. The Rams star has become a fan favorite for his intensity, personality and ability to make big plays under pressure.
Nacua had a huge first season in which he broke records for receptions (105) and yardage (1,486) for a rookie. The receptions record has since been eclipsed by Brock Bowers (112) and Malik Nabers (109). Nacua has proven to be a key piece of the Rams’ offense heading into the second half of the 2025 season. Los Angeles is 6-2 as it heads into its Week 10 showdown on the road against the San Francisco 49ers.
Now, with a newborn at home, it’s another level of responsibility for the young wide receiver. While neither he nor Aiono has spoken about how they plan to co-parent, both appear focused on their child’s well-being.
Aiono's recent social media post and a short Instagram reel show moments from the hospital and her first days of motherhood. They are emotional, raw and give fans a glimpse at how this chapter is beginning. Despite the complicated start, the message is one of hope and healing.
Nacua now will balance being a father with his NFL career, which has seen him emerge as one of the top receivers in the game. Nacua has 61 receptions for 711 yards and three touchdowns as the top target for Matthew Stafford.
