Raiders Work Out 3 RBs

Las Vegas is expecting 2025 first-round pick Ashton Jeanty to take the lion’s share of their backfield touches this year, but they are badly in need of depth after waiving Chris Collier with an injury designation last year. The rest of the running back room is comprised of Dylan Laube, Mike Washington, and Roman Hemby. Laube, a 2024 sixth-round pick, has just seven career rushing attempts, while Washington and Hemby are rookies. That is barely enough depth to make it through the training camp, much less the regular season.

Any of the Raiders’ three tryout running backs would add much more experience to their backfield. McIntosh, 26, was a seventh-round pick by the Seahawks in 2023. He only appeared in three games as a rookie but held down a special teams role the following year while taking 31 carries for 172 yards (5.5 yards per carry) on offense. He missed last season due to injury and was waived last week.

Ogunbowale, 32, has spent nine years in the NFL with four different teams. He has primarily as a pass-catching threat out of the backfield with more career yards through the air (850) than on the ground (594). He appeared in 63 games for the Texans over the last four years; in 2025, though, he had just 21 touches for 101 yards.

Robinson, 27, took the NFL by storm as an undrafted rookie in 2020, racking up 1,414 yards from scrimmage for the Jaguars. He could not maintain his production in subsequent years and was out of the league entirely by 2024. His most recent action came this year with the UFL’s Louisville Kings, who he helped lead to a championship in the spring. Robinson also led the league with 50.0 rushing yards per game, which might be enough to bring him back into the NFL.

Of the three, Ogunbowale brings a distinct skillset that would allow him to slide into a third-down role in Las Vegas while maintaining Jeanty’s status as the lead back. The Raiders could even stand to sign multiple running backs to stir up more competition behind Jeanty in their backfield and give them more options to evaluate as the regular season approaches.
