Kyle Juszczyk was a surprise cut by the San Francisco 49ers this week.
He's been a solid fullback for the last several seasons before the 49ers opted to cut him on Tuesday.
He appeared in all 17 games for the 49ers during the 2024 season, completing five carries for 26 yards and a touchdown and 19 receptions for 200 yards and two touchdowns.
Juszczyk still has some gas left in the tank, and according to ESPN's Adam Schefter , he's set to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday. It's been a while since they have had a good fullback, and they want to see if they can strike a deal with him before he leaves.
After being released by the 49ers, free-agent Pro-Bowl FB Kyle Juszczyk is meeting today with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Juszczyk spent the prior eight seasons with the 49ers and helped them appear in two Super Bowls (Super Bowl LIV and Super Bowl LVIII). They lost both games against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he was still a big part of their offense.
Before he was with the 49ers, he was with the Baltimore Ravens for the first four years of his career. He was picked in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft and got to play against the Steelers twice a year before moving on to the 49ers.
He has appeared in 189 games, totaling 67 carries for 237 yards and six touchdowns. He also has 281 receptions for 2,664 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Juszczyk is a big-time receiving threat coming out of the backfield, so Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith would scheme up plenty of plays for him if he signs with the Steelers.
He's also a great run-blocker, which would be a great fit for the Steelers' offense since they want to run the ball well in 2025.
Time will tell if the Steelers and Juszczyk can get a deal done.
