Should Marvin Harrison Jr. Fantasy Managers Be Panicking?

In Week 1, I gave my Marvin Harrison Jr. fantasy football takeaways. As one of the most polarizing players heading into 2026, it’s only right to revisit the situation now.

First, let’s go back to Week 1 and take a look at this brief recap:

“Harrison had the same number of routes run at 34 (per PFF) as Trey McBride, but he had three fewer routes run than Michael Wilson.

In terms of snaps, Harrison (59) was just one behind McBride at 60 and two behind Wilson with 64…Overall, if you’re able to trade for Marvin Harrison Jr. at the point where he’s being treated as a backup, that move makes sense.”

At this point, my read on the situation has changed. Last week I acknowledged that you should not trade him at his current value, and that remains the same. 

The difference is that now I’m not even treating Harrison as a buy-low target anymore. 

Marvin Harrison Jr. Week 2 Takeaways

The Arizona Cardinals got blown out by the Seattle Seahawks 31-7, but it was hard not to see that coming. Despite this being a very good defense, that also meant Arizona was in a passing situation for most of the game, and Harrison even could have benefited from garbage time touches. Neither of those things came to fruition.

Harrison would finish third among the receivers in snaps at 37 per PFF, and he was tied for second in terms of routes run with Trey McBride. The problem is, at some point, you would expect those to turn into targets, but that somehow took a step back.

Last week, Harrison had three targets and one catch, but this week he had only one target, which he was not able to bring in. To see that usage go down from three is where I’m pressing the panic button.

The other problem is that McBride is an elite player, so taking over him for targets would be tough, but Michael Wilson has proven that he’s being given more targets, snaps, and routes run by the Cardinals through two weeks. 

That comes after Wilson had a really strong 2025 season, finishing with 13 PPG, compared to Harrison, who had 10.7 PPG. At this point, we have to refer to Harrison as the number three target on a struggling Cardinals offense.

With that being said, I’m officially panicking on Marvin Harrison Jr. for fantasy football, and all that can be done if you have him is to ride it out.
