The football world is eagerly awaiting Aaron Rodgers’ long-anticipated free agency decision, with many expecting him to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, as OTAs begin this week, Rodgers appears in no rush to make a move, which has sparked some backlash as the season draws nearer.
One notable NFL figure expressing frustration over the idea of Rodgers, now 41, returning to the Steelers was Terry Bradshaw. Speaking on " 103.7 The Buzz" on Tuesday, Bradshaw didn’t hold back, stating that signing the four-time MVP for potentially just one season makes little sense for Pittsburgh. He also took a few pointed jabs at Rodgers during his candid remarks.
“That’s a joke… What are you gonna bring him in for one year? Are you kidding me? That guy needs to stay in California, go somewhere, chew on bark, and listen to the gods out there,” Bradshaw said. “I had to go over and introduce myself to him—I know he knows me—and walk in there and you get in his presence, and you think it’s gonna start snowing.”

The comments by Bradshaw had mixed reactions from fans:
"Keep that same energy when @AaronRodgers12 takes the @steelers to actually WIN in the Playoffs and possibly had to the Superbowl," a fan said.
Another fan posted, "Terry Bradshaw has [explicit] on damn near every Steelers QB at some time. He’s an all-time great, but just like Ben, is petty as hell."
"Who gives a [explicit] what Terry Bradshaw thinks anyways?" Someone else added.
One more fan commented, "Who cares. He said crap about Ben as well back in the day. Stop. But he is getting what he wants."
Bradshaw spent 14 seasons with the Steelers organization, leading them to four Super Bowl titles. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1989 and has served as an analyst for Fox Sports for several years, where his opinions continue to carry significant weight.
As for the Steelers, their quarterback options remain limited if they don't sign Rodgers. Currently, Mason Rudolph is projected to start. He spent several years as a backup in Pittsburgh before a brief stint with the Tennessee Titans last season. Now back with the Steelers, Rudolph is competing for the starting role alongside rookie Will Howard and Skylar Thompson.
