Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw made it clear this week that he doesn't want his former team to sign Aaron Rodgers.
For the past three months, Pittsburgh has expressed interest in adding Rodgers to its quarterback room. Although training camp is just two months away, the four-time MVP has not yet decided if he'll play football this year.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it would be a surprise if Rodgers doesn't join the Steelers this offseason. However, there's no deadline for when both sides need to reach an agreement.
"It would be a surprise if Aaron Rodgers is not on the Steelers right now. I'm not saying he's made his decision, I'm not saying retirement's ruled out... But it would be a surprise. Maybe a better question is just when," Rapoport said. "And to me the one that makes the most sense is the news will come out right before mandatory minicamp. Show up, little media, get on the field, get the playbook, see ya later, goodbye for the summer. Come back when training camp is starting and then everything is a go."
Bradshaw made it clear that he doesn't want Rodgers on the Steelers even if he's willing to sign a contract this week.
"That's a joke. That to me is just a joke," Bradshaw said, via CBS Sports. "What are you gonna do? Bring him in for one year, are you kidding me? That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there."
This isn't the first time that Bradshaw has dissed Rodgers. Back in 2021, he slammed the future Hall of Famer for being dishonest about his vaccination stuts.
"I’ll give Rodgers some advice: It would be nice if he came to the Naval Academy and learn how to be honest," Bradshaw said. "Learn not to lie because that’s what you did, Aaron."
Bradshaw added that he was "extremely disappointed" in Rodgers.

Clearly, Bradshaw has kept his opinion of Rodgers very steady for the past few years.
For what it's worth, Rodgers hasn't responded to any of Bradshaw's remarks.
Could the four-time Super Bowl champion change his tune on Rodgers in the coming months? Sure, but it seems incredibly unlikely.
