The 49ers have been one of the NFL's most injury-riddled teams in recent years.
San Francisco has had to deal with injuries to key players like Nick Bosa, Christian McCaffrey, Brock Purdy and others. The 49ers have dealt with so many injuries, in fact, that conspiracy theories have swirled, suggesting that a nearby electrical substation could be partially to blame.
Things went so far that the 49ers even hired a scientist to investigate.
“We did hire an independent scientist. He basically said it was a big nothing burger. We’re safe. We’re in a safe place to work,” John Lynch said, via NFL reporter Ari Meirov.
But injuries are continuing.
The 49ers are in training camp, like the rest of the league. Unfortunately, there's already been a lot of injuries at practice.
On Wednesday, August 5, at least 20 49ers players missed practice with various injuries.
"That's more than 20% of the roster. A staggering number at this stage of training camp," Ari Meirov shared.

"These players gotta start a protest or something about the substation because this is genuinely absurd a week into training camp," one fan wrote.
"Worst training staff in the league mixed with an older roster is a recipe for disaster," one fan added.
"Yo just nuke the stadium and relocate or get some priest cause that place cooked," one fan added.
"Unbelievably predictable turn of events. I’m sorry Niner fans," one fan added.
The 49ers will hope to get healthy in time for the start of the 2026 NFL regular season this fall.
San Francisco is scheduled to open the 2026 NFL regular season on Sept. 10 against the Rams in Australia. That's at least far away from the substation...
