The Cleveland Browns suffered a rough 10-34 loss against the Chicago Bears, but wins and losses are not what these games are about. What really matters is seeing how these unproven players perform in a real game.
Now the Browns game wasn’t great when looking at the battle between Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson.

Neither was great, but as someone who was a fan of Sanders coming out of college, he did not look good at all. That said, Watson didn’t play great either.

The good news for the Browns is it looks like Cleveland has found their WR1 of the future. Despite only having 27 receiving yards, KC Concepcion looked phenomenal.
The Browns have been in need of legitimate pass catchers, and between Concepcion and Denzel Boston, they have that at wide receiver. However, Concepcion ranked higher than Boston for me as a prospect (23rd versus 27th), and the NFL saw it that way as well.
Concepcion would get drafted 24th overall while Boston went 39th overall.
In this preseason game, Concepcion had three catches for 27 yards and one rush for 14 yards and a touchdown. It’s not a secret that Concepcion is fast, but he looked extremely explosive in both his routes and with the ball in his hands. Without overreacting, the quickness that Concepcion showed really looked special.

Not only that, but Concepcion showed the ability to take contact, which was a concern at 6’0”, 190 lbs. However, Concepcion did a great job with the physicality aspect of his game in this one.
Of course, it’s still early, but right now my bet is that KC Concepcion is the WR1 for the Cleveland Browns over Jerry Jeudy and Denzel Boston.
