Tom Brady has been keeping busy since his retirement from the NFL. Apart from signing a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports as the network’s lead NFL analyst, Brady also bought a minority stake to become a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback also has multiple endorsement deals, including an exclusive, long-term partnership with Fanatics. On Tuesday, Brady headlined a Fanatics event in Los Angeles for the launch of the new Fanatics Studios business.
The 48-year-old took the opportunity to make an exciting announcement. Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels joined Brady on stage as the former was unveiled as a captain in the upcoming Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Brady recently announced his return to the field in 2026. He will not be joining an NFL team, though. Instead, the future Hall of Famer will headline the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in March.
The flag football tournament will feature three teams that will battle in a round-robin format. Multiple NFL stars have already signed up for the Fanatics-backed event, including Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles, CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys, Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers and Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns, to name a few.
Brady will be the captain of one of the teams. On Tuesday, it was announced that Daniels will be the second of three team captains.
"All right, so we got another quarterback," Brady said. "Jayden's going to be another one. It's going to be competitive."

Brady and Daniels then went on to talk some trash. Daniels said that he believes Brady is “kind of scared” to compete against him. “I’m going to try and treat you like I treat all the Jets and the Bills all of those years,” Brady responded.
During the event, Brady also announced that Travis Scott will be the event's headline performer.
The Fanatics Flag Football Classic will start on March 21. It will air live on Fox Sports, with comedian Kevin Hart hosting the event.
