The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will soon take the field to compete for the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LIX.
The two will face off on Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Superdome in New Orleans.
Before the big game, former NFL star Vince Wilfork revealed his prediction for the game. Wilfork joined Forbes' DJ Siddiqi for a one-on-one interview, sharing his thoughts on the Super Bowl matchup.
Wilfork believes the Eagles will defeat the Chiefs, largely due to their talent on the offensive and defensive lines, with stars like Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata.
"I like the Eagles," Wilfork said. "The reason I like the Eagles is, I like the offensive and defensive lines. With Kansas City, I love Chris Jones. That’s my top defensive lineman in the game – he’s that guy, he’s that dog. But when you talk about a front, I like the Eagles. I like what they do on the offensive side of the ball and defensive side of the ball, they’re just very aggressive."
The Kansas City Chiefs entered the playoffs with a 15-2 record, ranked as the No. 1 seed in the AFC standings.
They're led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who posted one touchdown and 245 yards through the air, as well as two touchdowns and 43 yards on the ground in the team's recent AFC Championship Game victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Philadelphia heads into Super Bowl LIX, having defeated the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Commanders in the NFL playoffs.
The Chiefs are listed as a 1.5-point favorite, per ESPN BET.
Kansas City is attempting to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowl titles.
