Washington Commanders Dealt Major Injury News

The Washington Commanders are coming off a poor 2025 NFL Season with high expectations for the 2026 season, but despite those expectations, they are not off to a great start in the 2026 offseason.

Adam Schefter reported on Saturday that, “five-time Pro Bowl LT Laremy Tunsil suffered a torn triceps in practice today during 1-on-1 pass-rush drills. He’ll likely require surgery and will miss at least a significant portion of the regular season.”

Looking at the video of Tunsil at practice, it's clear to see that immediately he knew it was a serious injury:

This is a significant development because this is the player that Washington made a major trade last offseason for. Now looking ahead, Washington has serious work it has to do on the position that they've sorely been searching for over the course of the past four years or so. The likely options they have include moving first round selection Josh Conerly Jr. from his typical right side over to the left, or having veteran Andrew Wylie take over at left tackle. They could also look to use Brandon Coleman who is a backup that has been used all across the offensive line.
