Watch: Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins scores first TD in almost a year

Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins has had a tumultuous start to his NFL career.

He signed a free-agent deal with the Chargers this offseason after spending his first four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. He played in just 24 games during that span while battling a series of injuries.

Dobbins was sidelined for the entire 2021 season after suffering an ACL injury in Baltimore’s preseason finale, he was limited to just eight games in 2022 while battling two knee injuries and he missed the final 16 games of last season after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in the team’s opener.

But now, Dobbins appears to be healthy, scoring his first touchdown in nearly a calendar year in the fourth quarter of the Chargers 22-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Dobbins’ last touchdown was 363 days ago, when he logged eight carries for 22 yards in the Ravens 25-9 win over the Houston Texans on Sept. 10, 2023.

The 25-year-old tailback finished Sunday’s win with 10 carries for 135 yards and the score. It marks just the fifth 100-yard game of his career and his first since Dec. 17, 2022, when he rushed for 125 yards on 13 carries in Baltimore’s 13-3 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
