After a controversial Week 17 loss to Dallas last season, the Detroit Lions seemingly want to make the Cowboys look foolish.
On a 1st-and-10 at Detroit's 48-yard line, Lions quarterback Jared Goff pitched the ball to running back David Montgomery, who handed it off to wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. St. Brown then gave the ball to Goff, who threw a 52-yard touchdown to tight end Sam LaPorta, giving the Lions a 17-3 lead early in the second quarter.

Last season, the Lions lost to the Cowboys 20-19 in Dallas due in part to a two-point conversion that was incorrectly penalized in the game's final seconds.
On the play, Lions offensive tackle Taylor Decker caught a pass in the end zone. Although he appeared to report as an eligible pass-catcher, officials ruled he didn't and erased it. The loss cost Detroit a chance at the top seed in the NFC.
Before their matchup, Lions head coach Dan Campbell didn't clarify whether they would use the loss as motivation.
"You've got to keep your head about you no matter what it is, and I think each game, you can always find something," Campbell said Thursday, via Schuyler Dixon of the Associated Press. "There are reasons behind why you want to win them, and you find what those are and they're different every week."
Despite Campbell not proclaiming Detroit wants to earn revenge against the Cowboys, its play calling suggests it does.
