Whether it was building a winning culture at the University of Miami, lighting it up in the USFL, or leading the Buffalo Bills to four Super Bowls in a row, Jim Kelly always did it with a resounding toughness.
Recently, Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly got a clean bill of health after battling yet another round of squamous cell carcinoma in his face. On Thursday, he was in Orlando visiting the Pro Bowl teams during practice and ran into fellow cancer survivor James Conner, running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jim Kelly had surgery on his jaw Wednesday after recently finding out that cancer had once again returned to his body. The surgery, which took nearly 12 hours, was done at Mount Sinai Hospital.
