The Tennessee Titans released two players Tuesday in order to get their active roster down to 85, which is the new limit as of 3 p.m. (CDT). Safety Tedric Thompson and tackle Paul Adams were waived.
The Titans signed a pair of safeties on Monday and they placed another one on injured reserve Tuesday. Tedric Thompson has been placed on the list less than a week after signing with the team.

The Denver Broncos continue to churn and burn the bottom of the roster. On Sunday, the team announced that it has signed defensive tackle Lorenzo Neal, waiving safety Tedric Thompson to make room on the roster. Thompson was a former Kansas City draft pick and a relative newcomer to Denver.
Before they began training camp practices on Wednesday, the Denver Broncos made three roster moves on Tuesday. First, the Broncos signed safety Tedric Thompson, a four-year veteran who most recently played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns.
Denver is adding some depth to its secondary. Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, the Broncos are signing safety Tedric Thompson. Thompson appeared in eight games for the Chiefs last season, receiving both defensive and special teams snaps.
