A by-the-numbers look at the Predators’ historic 18-game point streak

It seems the Nashville Predators just don’t know how to lose.

The Predators staged a three-goal come-from-behind win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday, winning their sixth game in a row and extending their franchise-record point streak to 18 games.

“Being down 3-0, I think it's easy as a team to go, ‘It's probably not our game, it was bound to happen,’” Predators captain Roman Josi said. “…Even after we’re down 4-1 going into the third, we knew if we played the way we have been, we’d have a chance to come back. And obviously, the ending was pretty good.”

The last team to record a point streak of 18 or more games was the 2021-22 Colorado Avalanche, who went on to win the Stanley Cup that year.

Nashville hasn’t lost in regulation in over five weeks, and the team fought its way from the outside the playoffs looking in to occupying the first wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

Here’s a by-the-numbers look at a dozen notable Predators’ statistics during their 18-game point streak:

0 — the number of regulation losses the Predators have had.

1 — the number of time the Predators have trailed to start the third period.

1.83 — the number of goals the Predators have allowed per game.

4 — the number of points that separate the Predators and the Winnipeg Jets for third place in the Central Division.

4.11 — the number of goals the Predators have scored per game.

7 — the number of teams the Predators have beat that are either in the playoffs or within two points of a playoff spot.

8 — the number of time the Predators surrendered one goal or fewer.

12 — the number of games goaltender Juuse Saros has won

20 — the number of spots the Predators’ penalty-kill percentage has jumped.

37 — the number of goals the Predators have scored in the third period.

94.4 — the percentage of points the Predators have accumulated.

369 — the number of saves Saros has made.
