The Anaheim Ducks and Montreal Canadiens announced this afternoon that they were swapping AHL forwards. The Ducks are sending forward Sasha Pastujov to the Canadiens while they are receiving forward Sean Farrell. Pastujov, in 71 games for the Gulls this past season, had 57 points on 21 goals and 36 assists. He was a plus-three with seven power-play goals and a game-winning goal. In two playoff games, he scored a goal and was a minus-four. Farrell, in 72 games, had 53 points on 17 goals and 36 assists. He was a minus-two with nine power-play goals and three game-winning goals. In five playoff games, he had two assists and was even in plus/minus.

The Anaheim Ducks drafted Pastujov 66th overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. In 160 AHL games with San Diego, he had 125 points on 48 goals and 77 assists. He was a minus-seven with 14 power-play goals and five game-winning goals. The Canadiens drafted Farrell 124th overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. In 186 AHL games for the Laval Rocket, he had 125 points on 46 goals and 79 assists. He was a plus-six with 16 power-play goals and seven game-winning goals. In 18 Calder Cup Playoff games, he has 12 points on three goals and nine assists. He was a minus-one with a power-play goal.
