The Kirill Marchenko rumors as of Sunday

Dan Milstein: (Marchenko’s agent on Sunday) “In a deep philosophical debate with myself about whether today’s rumors are 10% true or 0% true. Results pending…”

Marco D’Amico: The RG report wasn’t , was just mentioned in it. Can confirm that Montreal Canadiens are very interested if thinks around Marchenko pick up.

Marco D’Amico: The Canadiens and Blue Jackets haven’t talked about Marchenko in a bit, likely due to some summer vacations. There is nothing imminent.

Could a Kirill Marchenko trade happen soon?

Hockeyy Insiderr: Have been told that the Canadiens have been given permission to speak with Marchenko’s agent Dan Milstein about a potential contract extension in case a trade gets finalized. If discussions remain positive, a trade could happen today.

  • Dan Milstein: (responding) “Incredible reporting. Truly. The confidence here is doing a lot of heavy lifting, shame it’s not attached to anything real. But hey, the “likes” don’t know that.”

The Marchenko rumors as of Saturday

David Ettedgui: (Sports Management Hockey Agent) As of Saturday, there are three teams that are in the mix for Columbus Blue Jackets Kirill Marchenko, with the Montreal Canadiens and Utah Mammoth the two leading teams.

  • David Ettedgui: Marchenko is a top-six winger that can score 25 to 30 goals and is 6 foot 3. He would pair nicely with Ivan Demidov, but the cost to acquire will determine if it’s worth it. We should know more in the coming days or weeks.
