Blackhawks Loan Nine Players to Rockford

At around 2:33 p.m. Central Time, the Chicago Blackhawks announced that eight players were being loaned to the Rockford IceHogs, with one more released from a PTO and assigned to Rockford. The loan group includes Gavin Hayes, Paul Ludwinski, Samuel Savoie, Ashton Cumby, Jake Furlong, Taige Harding, Stanislav Berezhnoy, and Adam Gajan.

Cavan Fitzgerald was among those headed down. The IceHogs alternate captain was on a PTO before being released and assigned to Rockford.

The move keeps the ball rolling as Chicago crafts their lineup as Opening Night approaches. Most of the players sent down were on the roster that played in Minnesota on Saturday. It is interesting to note that AJ Spellacy and Sacha Boisvert have survived the first round of cuts, as well as newly re-signed Ethan Del Mastro and Kevin Korchinski.
