Foerster, 24, had 13 goals and four assists for 17 points in 29 NHL games in 2025-26. Across four NHL seasons, he has 61 goals and 39 assists for 100 points in 195 career regular-season games.

“We’re excited to have Tyson be a key part of our long-term future,” Flyers GM Daniel Briere said. “He has established himself as an important piece of the foundation we’re building here. Since coming up through our system, he’s continued to improve and develop every step of the way into a consistent offensive contributor while also being a trusted and reliable 200-foot player. We have a great deal of confidence in him and believe he’ll play a significant role as we continue building toward a successful team for years to come.”

In parts of three AHL campaigns, Foerster has 32 goals and 36 assists for 68 points in 99 regular-season games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Taken in the first round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Foerster spent parts of three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Barrie Colts. He scored 52 goals and added 62 assists for 114 points in 139 career games. In his draft season, he posted 36 goals and 44 assists for 80 points in 62 games.

The Flyers started Wednesday by signing goaltender Dan Vladar to a five-year, $27.5-million contract extension that will pay him $5.5 million annually. He went 29-14-7 with a .906 save percentage and a 13.8 goals saved above expected in 51 appearances in 2025-26.

Vladar was a major factor in the Flyers’ first-round victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Playoffs before they were swept by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second, while Vladar had a .922 SV% and a 8.5 GSAx with a pair of shutouts in the postseason.

On Tuesday, the Flyers re-signed defenseman Carl Grundstrom to a one-year contract. The deal will carry a cap hit of $1 million through the 2026-27 season.
