As Wild fans hope for a miracle in Dallas, another Minnesota-tied miracle is in Dallas.
Herb Brooks' championship ring from Team USA's gold medal Olympic run — a tournament that included the Miracle on Ice — is up for auction in Dallas.
The Team USA coach's ring, along with other memorabilia from the Minnesota-born hockey legend, is part of a lot from Heritage Auctions.
The ring is valued at $250,000, and is joined by items like Brooks' gloves from when he coached Team USA at the Salt Lake City Olympics, a pair of Brooks' skates, and a ticket to the 1980 Miracle on Ice game.
Those Brooks-related artifacts are Hall of Fame-worthy items from one of the most respected figures in U.S. hockey history.
However, the lot isn't exclusively focused on Brooks. There are also Wayne Gretzky rookie cards, a ticket stub from Gretzky's debut game in 1979 following the WHA merger, a game-used Gretzky stick, a Nordiques jersey, and a Derek Boogaard jersey.
Additionally, there are baseball cards, World Series rings, a signed football from the Super Bowl I Packers, and a game-used football signed by Emmitt Smith, among other items.
Bidding is scheduled to begin on April 24, but a representative for Heritage Auctions tells Bring Me The News that it's expected to open by April 20.
