
The Toronto Maple Leafs announced that forward Nick Robertson left Monday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche with a lower-body injury and would not return.

Robertson was injured after blocking a shot from Avalanche defender Josh Manson early in the first period. According to The Leafs Nations’ Nick Alberga, the 24-year-old winger couldn’t put weight on his left foot.

Going into Monday night, Robertson had 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points in 42 games with the Leafs this season. Now in his six NHL season and third as a full-time NHLer, Robertson has 42 goals and 36 assists for 78 points in 198 career regular-season games.
He also has two goals and an assist for three points in 13 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Robertson has also spent parts of four seasons in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies, and has 27 goals and 30 assists for 57 points in 60 career games.
In three OHL seasons, Robertson, a second-round pick for the Leafs in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, had 97 goals and 77 assists for 174 points in 162 career regular-season games with the Peterborough Petes.
Ahead of Monday’s game, the Leafs were 22-15-7 with 51 points, sixth in the Atlantic Division and one point back of a wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. Toronto has won three straight games and are 7-1-2 in their last 10 games.
Following Monday’s game against the Avs, the Leafs fly to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Mammoth on Tuesday. They will then head to Nevada to take on the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday, followed by a Saturday night matchup back in Canada to face the Winnipeg Jets.
