The Utah Mammoth took a pretty embarrassing loss on Sunday against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Mammoth goalies struggled in Utah's 6-3 loss. Hopefully, the Mammoth can look different against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Who: Utah Mammoth (9-6-0) vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (8-6-2)
Where: ESPN+, Hulu, and Disney+.

When: Nov. 1, 2:00 p.m. MT

What must Utah do to win?

The Mammoth have to play better defense after allowing six goals against the Flyers. Utah has struggled to play solid defense, which has led to some more goals than it would like.

So far, Karel Vejmelka needs all the help he can get, and allowing easy chances will lead to a loss. The Mammoth offense is being asked too much, given how ugly this overall defense and goaltending have been. The Maple Leafs can score goals, so playing effective defense while limiting offensive chances will be the ultimate goal for Utah.

The Prediction:

Record Tracker (8-4)

The Mammoth haven't lost two games in a row this season, and I don't think that will continue. The Mammoth just haven't played well in the last few games, and it feels like the Maple Leafs will hand the Mammoth their first-ever back-to-back loss of 2026-27.

I do hope I am wrong, but the Mammoth needs to play much better in multiple areas. This is the third game of Utah's six-game road trip. It will be very interesting to see if the Mammoth once again prevent back-to-back losses or if the Maple Leafs will get the best of them.
