NHL postpones combine, draft, awards due to COVID-19

Not only is the NHL season postponed, but now key events that were set to happen during the summer months have been delayed.

The NHL Scouting Combine, 2020 Draft and Awards have been postponed, according to NHL.com's Mike Morreale.

"The location, timing, and format of the 2020 NHL Draft (and Draft Lottery) will be announced when details are finalized," the league said in a release, according to WXYZ's Brad Galli.

No new dates have been decided on or even proposed for the coming events. However, here's when the events were supposed to be held:

  • NHL Scouting Combine: June 1-6 at Keybank Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
  • NHL Awards: June 18 in Las Vegas
  • NHL Draft: June 26-27 at Bell Centre in Montreal
