There’s no room for error in Quincy this Saturday as Old Glory DC travels to Veterans Memorial Stadium to face the Eastern Conference-leading New England Free Jacks at 5 p.m. ET.
After a seven-game win streak, New England stumbled in Week 14 against the Miami Sharks, and frankly, the timing couldn't have been worse for the Free Jacks. Their lead? Now a mere five points. Old Glory DC, hungry for a fourth consecutive victory, could narrow that gap considerably.
Coming off a decisive 41-16 road victory against Anthem RC, Old Glory DC is riding a wave of momentum into Week 15. They've accumulated an impressive 605 carry meters and boast perfect penalty-kick accuracy so far this season, converting all 12 attempts.
Leading the charge is Tommaso Boni, whose exceptional 80-minute performance last week—highlighted by 16 carries, 43 meters, and eight tackles - typifies DC’s current surge.
Even so, the Free Jacks cannot be underestimated. Despite the recent setback, they still hold the title as the league's stingiest defense, giving up a league-low 274 points. In the Miami match, Wian Conradie demonstrated resilience, scoring two tries, making 12 carries for 52 meters, and contributing 15 ruck entries, making him central to their efforts to recapture that vital momentum at home.
Old Glory prevailed in their last encounter in March, 28-14, largely thanks to Jason Robertson’s 13 points and a powerful ground game. While Saturday’s "Tribute to Troops Festival" will honor military personnel, both teams are acutely aware that the winner of this match could very well shape their destiny in the upcoming postseason.
The game will stream live on ESPN+, Monumental Sports Network, and NBC Sports Boston.
