NHL on TNT analyst Paul Bissonnette shredded the Edmonton Oilers after their frustrating loss to the Florida Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday.

The Edmonton Oilers are officially on the ropes against the Florida Panthers following their 5-2 loss on Saturday night.

The loss put them a single loss away from elimination, which would mean the Panthers could soon be celebrating their second consecutive Stanley Cup victory at their expense.

The Panthers built leads of 2-0, 3-0, 4-1 and 5-2 before the final horn blew, ending what could have been the final game for the Oilers on their home ice this season.

Afterward, NHL on TNT analyst Paul Bissonnette blasted the Oilers for not playing with enough intensity and fire while saying there were too many passengers during such a critical game with a series lead in the SCF up for grabs.

I was actually shocked at the amount of passengers that the Oilers had tonight - I couldn't believe they laid an egg like that at home - but all credit to the Florida Panthers, boys.

Bissonnette praised the poise of the Panthers, who responded after what could have been a devastating OT loss in Game 4 in which they initially had a 3-0 lead.

You could really tell that they were on a mission from the moment you saw them in the tunnel. Coming out, they seemed confident. They seemed loose, and they knew that they were going to establish their game early and often.

Panthers forward Sam Bennett increased his NHL-leading postseason goal total to 15, while Brad Marchand scored twice to increase his own goal total to double-digits (10).
