Sabres offense explodes in Game 4 win over Bruins

The Buffalo Sabres manhandled the Boston Bruins in Game 4, scoring six goals to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. The Sabres had six different goal scorers for all their goals.

The offense came out bright and early for the Sabres, with four goals being scored in the first period. Peyton Krebs, Josh Doan, Zach Benson, and Bowen Byram all got the Sabres on the board. The second period remained scoreless for both teams before the Sabres scored two goals in the first seven minutes of the third period to make it 6-0. Sean Kuraly scored for the Bruins with 40 seconds left to make it a final of 6-1.

The Bruins’ defense completely collapsed in Game 4. They had a total of 20 penalty minutes, 17 giveaways, and were outshot 35-24. Goalie Jeremy Swayman was pulled after the sixth goal, and Joonas Korpisalo finished the game.

Game 5 is now headed back to Buffalo, where the Sabres have the chance to win the series. The game will be on Tuesday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
