Sean Avery buries Mike Zibanejad for awful effort against the Red Wings

Sean Avery is someone who has always spoken his mind on the game of hockey, even if those opinions do tend to get him into a whole lot of trouble.

Even in his retirement, Avery still speaks out whenever he sees fit. Unsurprisingly, he is a huge fan of the New York Rangers. He was most famous for playing with the Rangers, and he still calls New York City his home. Having said that, it should come as no surprise that he is quick to call out whenever a player is being lazy.

For instance, he recently delivered a brutal takedown of Mika Zibanejad and his efforts on the ice. While recording a game between the Rangers and the Detroit Red Wings, Avery pointed out that Zibanejad is lazy and doesn't actually go for the puck. Moreover, he accused the forward of focusing more on being an Ibiza DJ than a hockey player.

These critiques were all very scathing and speak to how Avery has disapproved of the Rangers so far this season. While the team will likely compete for the Stanley Cup, there is no doubt that they could be better to start off the year. As for Zibanejad, he will need to raise his game.

As for Avery, he continues to act and also do the whole fashion thing. Only time will tell whether or not those ventures continue to be a success for him.
