The Vegas Golden Knights are included in the latest list of odds to land UFA forward and former Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, who wants to come back to the NHL.

Former Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews hasn't played since April 2023, and has been hampered by the effects of Long COVID, along with a 2021 diagnosis of Chronic Immune Response Syndrome (CIRS) that caused him to miss every game in 2020-21.

But he's announced through his agent, Pat Brisson, that he has every intention of making a comeback in the NHL.

He's been linked to his hometown Winnipeg Jets along with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning, but another team has now been included in the odds to land Toews.

Via FanDuel odds, the Vegas Golden Knights are included with +650 odds to Toews' next team.

Toews explained recently that he was not satisfied with how his time with the Blackhawks, whom he captained to 3 Staney Cup wins, came to a close in 2023.

He also said that he wasn't certain about the thought of retirement, but that he misses the game.

'Everyone just assumed I was retired, but I think in my mind, I wasn't too sure for a long time. I just needed to not think about it, to just give myself time and space. Now I'm really missing hockey, and I think that's the biggest sign. I really miss the game and feel I have a whole different perspective and a new lease on things.

Toews has 883 points (372G, 511A) in 1,067 career NHL games.
