Two games don’t make a season, but Zachary Bolduc is off to a great start with the Habs.
The forward has already scored two goals, has a good physical presence in front of the opposition’s net and complements Brendan Gallagher very well(who, this morning, was the NHL’s leading even-strength scorer). Anthony Marcotte discussed Bolduc on BPM sports and believes not only that the Québécois will have a long NHL career, but that he could eventually score 30 goals in his career.
Will we see a Zachary Bolduc blossom this season?

Personally, I think Bolduc could score 30 goals as early as this season. hot take? Maybe, but let’s not forget that he scored 13 goals in the last 24 regular-season games in St. Louis after Jim Montgomery took over the bench. Over 82 games, that’s a 44-goal season. And since Bolduc is used on the first wave of the powerplay, I think he’ll be able to pick up some of the production that Patrik Laine had last year.
What’s more, if he continues to perform well on the team’s second line, he’ll get some quality playing time, which should help his offensive production, so I think a 30-goal season is possible for the Québécois forward this season.
What’s certain is that his start to the season will help fans forget the loss of Logan Mailloux, who had a difficult first game with his new team.

If Bolduc continues to fill the net regularly, he could quickly become a crowd favorite, as George Laraque tells BPM Sports.

Not to mention we haven’t seen him hand out any good checking yet. What ‘ s more, Bolduc understands the realities and peculiarities of a market like Montreal, and as Anthony Martineau explains to The Sick Podcast, the 22-year-old forward has the mentality to deal with the pressure of such a market.
An exemplary mentality for Zach Bolduc according to @Antho_Martineau.

Anyway, here’s hoping he can keep the momentum going for a while
After 2 games:
-Noah Dobson is playing on the Habs’ best pairing, and making a big contribution to it.
-Zach Bolduc scored two goals and his overall play is excellent.
