Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors took down the San Antonio Spurs 114-91 on Tuesday night, and it may have cost the three-time NBA champion a shot at making Team USA's Olympic roster.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said postgame that Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich joked about leaving Curry off the roster after his 32-point night.
Kerr, with a chuckle, said Popovich had a message for him postgame: "He told me after the game that he had been considering Steph for the Olympic team, but he said after the way Steph embarrassed him tonight he's no longer in consideration." Ha.

Popovich coaches Team USA, while Kerr serves as an assistant on his staff.
Curry has never appeared on Team USA's Olympic Roster. However, he helped his country capture gold at the 2010 and 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cups.
The 32-year-old is having a tremendous season for the 13-12 Warriors, averaging 29.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game while shooting 48.4% from the field and 43% from deep. He had the best game of his career against the Portland Trail Blazers last month, scoring a career-high 62 points in a 137-122 win.
