Cincinnati Reds infielder Elly De La Cruz is the most exciting base runner in baseball right now, and he showed why on Sunday afternoon against the Milwaukee Brewers when he did something that does not really seem possible.
He scored from second base on a pickoff attempt.
Granted, the pickoff attempt ended up rolling into center field, but most base runners in this situation would have only been able to move up 90 feet and simply take third base.
De La Cruz? He immediately went into a full sprint and managed to score.

It was part of a monster day from the Reds' young star as he went 2-for-3 with a home run (his 12th of the season) a triple (his third of the season) and stole his 36th base.
He is a must-see player every single game no matter who the Reds are playing or what else is happening on the field.
The only downside for the Reds on Sunday? They blew a 3-0 lead and lost 5-4 to the Brewers in a big National League Central game.
