Stanley Cup Final bets: Focus on Florida with these player props

We have us another NHL game tonight as the Edmonton Oilers emphatically avoided elimination on Saturday night. Things may not go as well for the Oilers tonight as the Stanley Cup Final returns to Florida for Game 5, especially with the place rocking and the Panthers on the cusp of winning their first championship.

I for one am drawn to the Florida end for some props, and that's where we go here tonight with a trio of looks.

.75u: Vladimir Tarasenko point (+145 ESPN BET) and .75u: Sam Bennett point (+110 ESPN BET/FD/DK)

I'm opting for a pair of plus-money point props on Florida, and it's a few familiar faces. Note that my .75u wager size here is not a question of confidence, but rather superstition. I've been betting .75u on Vladimir Tarasenko point for three straight games, and I can't mess with a good thing now.

Yes, Tarasenko has a point in three straight, as he's been Florida's most productive even-strength player this series. He tops the team in shots (more on that in a moment), expected goals and high-danger scoring chances, and that should remain here at home in Game 5. This price is far too good to pass up on.

Then there's Sam Bennett, who tops the Panthers in expected goals (all strengths) over the last three games, and has been incredibly active on a line with Matthew Tkachuk and Carter Verhaeghe.

Bennett has a point in three of four this series and four straight at home. I'll gladly get another bet up on him with my expectation that the Panthers win tonight.

1u: Tarasenko & Bennett 2+ shots each (+116 FanDuel)

The Tarasenko shot leg is quite simple, as the man has been automatic this series. He's logged 2+ shots in all four games, and he's gone for 3+ in three straight. Tarasenko now has 2+ shots in eight straight and five straight in Florida (averaging 3.0 SOG at home in his last five at home).

As for Bennett, he too has gone for 2+ SOG in all four games, ending on exactly every time. While I certainly would love to see him flying over his 2.5 line, the volume here is what really draws me in.

Bennett has tallied attempt totals of five, six and eight in his last three games, which those who read my bets regularly may remember was a key number for Bennett last round.

When Bennett logs at least five attempts, he hits 2+ shots in 92% of his games over the last three years. I'm confident that both he and all of Florida get pucks on net as they look to close this series out at home and hoist the Stanley Cup.
